“Walking Toward a Brighter Future”

Razia Hassan, a 14/12 -year-old girl from Makambako Town Council in the Njombe Region, she was born with clubfoot deformity. At first, her condition caused serious tension within the family as her father was claiming that this disability is from the mother’s family because in his family there is no individual with the same condition. The mother also claimed that even in her family there is no individual with such deformity. Both parents believed it was a curse. The situation deeply affected their relationship to the point of near separation.

However, after receiving professional counseling and guidance at INUKA Rehabilitation Hospital, the couple understood and renewed hope. They made decision to start treatment and make sure that their daughter is free from disability.

Thanks to early intervention and expert care at INUKA, Razia has now started walking at the appropriate age. Her journey is a touching reminder that disability is not a curse. It is also a powerful example of how hope, unity, and access to rehabilitation services can transform lives.
