INUKA Rehabilitation hospital started in 2008 under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Njombe as a Community Based Rehabilitation Centre. In 2019 it was registerd as Hospital under Tanzania Private Hospitals (Regulation) Act No.(CAP 151 R. E. 2022). The hospital currently offers rehabilitation services to children living with disabilities and other patients with rehabilitation needs such as stroke cases, post traumatic complications, joint arthrosis, muscle diseases, etc.
The hospital is also a member of Tanzania Physical Rehabilitation Platform (TPRP), a technical advising body to the Ministry of Health on the development of policies and guidelines for rehabilitation services in the country. It is also a member of Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Network, which brings together rehabilitation service providers.
The Hospital is committed to improving the quality of rehabilitation services in Tanzania through colaboration with national and international partners and by creating a networking system with other health structures.
