Azory Kimatile, a 4-year-old boy from Njombe Region in Southern Tanzania, was amputated his right leg due to severe infection caused by wrong injection just three weeks after birth, Doctors had to amputate his leg to save his life.
His mother was heartbroken, believing her son would never walk again. Two years later, she heard about INUKA Rehabilitation Hospital and brought Azory for help.
At INUKA, Azory received a prosthetic leg and intensive therapy to learn how to walk. Today, he moves freely and plays happily with other children.
“The prosthetic leg has changed our lives. My son can walk, and I can work freely,” says Azory’s mother.
She thanks INUKA’s specialists for restoring hope and transforming her son’s future.
